Washington County announced on Mar. 18 that it is seeking contractors for three renovation projects at the Dixie Center in St. George, Utah. The projects include constructing a Garden Room architectural backdrop wall, recovering the ballroom airwall, and replacing the auditorium carpet.

The county said responses to these requests for proposals must be received by 4:00 pm Mountain Standard Time on April 21, 2026. Both electronic and hard copy submissions will be accepted.

Jared Stephenson, Director of the Dixie Center, is listed as the point of contact for proposal submissions. Proposals should clearly indicate which contract they pertain to and be sent to 1835 Convention Center Drive in St. George.

According to the announcement, Washington County may issue amendments or clarifications to the request for proposals before the submission deadline if there are discrepancies or omissions. Any changes will be posted as formal written addenda on the county website. If revisions occur after the closing date, candidates will have an opportunity to refine or resubmit their proposals.

Contractors will be selected with required Commission approval after April 21, 2026. The start of work will be scheduled around events at the Dixie Center. Questions or comments about these requests must be submitted before the proposal due date.
