Utah Tech dropped to sixth place after two rounds at the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships on April 21. The event is being held at The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch Hills Course in McKinney, Texas.
The team’s consistent performance saw them post a second consecutive score of 13-over-par 311, bringing their two-round total to plus-46, or 622. Tarleton State delivered the lowest round of the day with a one-over-par 289 and moved into a tie for first with Abilene Christian at plus-19, or 585.
UT Arlington sits in third place at plus-31 (607), followed by Utah Valley in fourth (609), California Baptist in fifth (612), and Southern Utah in seventh (632). Three Utah Tech players are currently ranked among the top twenty individually. Senior Jane Olson leads her team tied for twelfth overall with a score of plus-8 (152) after rounds of 74 and 78.
Junior Mia Cesarek recorded one birdie and fourteen pars during her five-over-par second round to move into a tie for fifteenth at plus-9 (155). Another junior, Samantha Phelan, made two birdies as part of her seven-over-par effort and is tied for nineteenth with a total score of plus-11 (157).
Sophomore Maria Purroy Galan improved by four shots on her second round to finish tied for twenty-third at plus-12 (158), while redshirt freshman Gabrielle Roznicki moved up one spot into thirty-third place overall with an eighteen-over-par total.
The Trailblazers will attempt to improve their standing during Wednesday’s final round beginning at 7 a.m. Mountain Time.
