The Utah Tech Trailblazers will return home for the first time in nearly three weeks to host UT Arlington on April 17 and 18 at Karl Brooks Field. The softball series includes games scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., as well as a Saturday game at noon, which is also designated as Reunion Day.

This weekend’s matchups are significant for both teams, with Utah Tech holding a season record of 16-25 overall and a conference record of 3-6 in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). UT Arlington enters the series with an overall record of 18-21 and a WAC record of 6-6.

The Trailblazers have had recent success against UT Arlington, boasting a perfect home record against the Mavericks over the past three seasons. Utah Tech is currently undefeated at home versus UTA, having swept them in St. George during the previous year. The team has also recorded two wins on the road and one victory at a neutral site after defeating UT Arlington, 6-4, during the Phoenix-based WAC Tournament in 2023.

Notable individual achievements this season include Kennedy Embrey being named Player of the Week on March 30 and Kinley Pappas earning Player of the Week honors twice, on February 23 and March 23.
