Utah Tech will conclude its regular season by hosting Utah Valley on Saturday, March 7, at Burns Arena in St. George. The game, scheduled for 7 p.m., marks Senior Night and the latest chapter in the Old Hammer Rivalry. Fans can watch the matchup on ESPN+ or listen via 99.5 FM The Fan Sports Network.

Utah Valley enters the contest with a 22-7 overall record and leads the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) at 12-4. The Wolverines have won four consecutive games since their loss to Utah Tech on February 12 and will face Southern Utah before traveling to St. George. While Utah Valley has remained undefeated at home this season, posting a 15-0 record, they are 4-7 in away games.

The Wolverines lead the WAC in several statistical categories, including assist/turnover ratio (1.31), assists per game (18.8), blocks per game (5.8), field goal percentage (50.4%), field goal percentage defense (40.6%), scoring margin (13.1), scoring offense (80.1 points per game), and scoring defense (67 points allowed per game). They also rank highly in steals, rebounds, three-point shooting, and turnovers forced.

Individually, Jackson Holcombe stands out as the conference leader in steals per game and ranks among the top players in rebounds, field goal percentage, blocks, and points per game. Trevan Leonhardt leads in assist/turnover ratio and assists per game while ranking second in steals and minutes played. Tyler Hendricks is second in three-pointers made and averages 11.8 points per contest alongside Leonhardt.

Saturday’s meeting will be the 14th between Utah Tech and Utah Valley; UVU holds a 9-4 advantage all-time. In their most recent encounter on February 12, Utah Tech ended UVU’s five-game winning streak against them with an 81-77 victory led by Chance Trujillo’s 14 points.

Utah Tech is coming off an 81-67 loss at Southern Utah despite a career-high performance from Jusaun Holt who scored 28 points along with three rebounds over nearly forty minutes of playtime.

The Trailblazers have excelled statistically within the WAC this season—leading in three-point attempts per game (22.9), three-pointers made per game (7.8), and turnovers committed per game (12.2). They are also second in several categories such as assist/turnover ratio, assists per game, field goal percentage, three-point defense percentage nationally ranked sixth at holding opponents to just under thirty percent from deep—and overall three-point shooting accuracy.

Key individual performers include Ethan Potter who leads the conference in rebounds per game and field goal percentage while ranking among league leaders for total points scored; Trujillo leads in three-point attempts; Bolanga is near the top for both attempts/made threes; Holt ranks high for assists and blocks; Davis is among leaders for steals.

Five seniors will be recognized during Senior Night: Tobi Ariyibi, Britton Berrett, Dario Domingos, Jusaun Holt, and Ethan Potter—all of whom have contributed across multiple seasons both at Utah Tech and other programs during their collegiate careers.

Utah Tech has secured its highest win total since joining Division I competition with eight victories over its last ten games dating back to January 21st—averaging more than seventy-six points during that stretch—and remains undefeated at home over those contests.

The team has locked up a top-three seed for next week’s WAC Tournament scheduled March 11–14 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas—a milestone marking their final appearance as part of this conference tournament era.
