Utah Tech junior first baseman Miller Durham was named University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week on April 21.
The recognition highlights Durham’s recent performance, where he played a key role in helping the Trailblazers achieve a 4-1 record over five games last week.
Durham posted a .636 batting average (14-for-22) during that stretch, recording three extra-base hits, four runs batted in, and nine runs scored. He had at least two hits in each game, including back-to-back three-hit games against Utah Valley and his second four-hit game of the season in Sunday’s series finale. In midweek home games against UNLV and Washington State on April 14 and April 15, he went 2-for-3 with three runs scored in each contest.
Currently leading Utah Tech with a .376 batting average and seven home runs this season, Durham has started all 32 games and driven in 27 runs. He is on a ten-game hitting streak and has recorded multiple hits in seven of those starts.
Utah Tech holds a record of 27-14 overall and is 5-1 in conference play. The team will conclude its seven-game road trip this weekend with an important three-game Western Athletic Conference series at California Baptist.
