11.1% of San Juan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

San Juan County recorded an unemployment rate of 11.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 664 people out of the 14,610 living in San Juan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in San Juan County has decreased compared to the 11.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in San Juan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 5,327 people who had a job during that time, 4 were employed in the Armed Forces and 5,323 belonged to the civilian labor force.
