Kane County had unemployment rate of 3.5% in 2021

Kane County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 126 people out of the 7,635 living in Kane County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Kane County has increased compared to the 3.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Kane County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 3,515 people who had a job during that time, 26 were employed in the Armed Forces and 3,489 belonged to the civilian labor force.
