Of the 695 people living in Escalante in 2019, 53.1 percent (369) were women and 46.9 percent (326) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Utah News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 191-to-178. In the 65 and over age range, there were 111 females and 122 males.
