About 34.8 percent of the 2,357 degrees and certificates handed out by Southern Utah University in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in City conferred 759 associate's degrees and 60 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in general studies. Data shows the school gave out 759 associate's degrees in general studies, followed by 198 master's degrees in general education and 146 certificates in general education.

The university enrolled 10,196 students for 2017-18, including 9,271 in undergraduate programs and 925 in graduate programs.
