Southern Utah University junior Niya Randolph was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for the seventh time this season, according to a March 17 announcement from the league. This recognition brings Randolph’s career total to 17 weekly awards from the conference.
The achievement highlights Randolph’s consistent performance and her role as one of the program’s top gymnasts. Southern Utah has now received 21 MPSF weekly awards this season, with seven different gymnasts earning honors.
Randolph secured her latest accolade after an all-around victory in Southern Utah’s regular-season finale at Boise State. She posted a score of 39.375 in the all-around and took first place on floor exercise with a meet-high score of 9.925. Her event scores also included a 9.875 on bars, a 9.825 on beam, and a 9.750 on vault.
The Flippin’ Birds are set to host the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship meet on Saturday, March 21, at the America First Event Center at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
As postseason competition begins, Randolph continues to be recognized for her steady production across all four events and remains an important contributor for Southern Utah.
