Isaac Finlinson, a standout who once played for Dixie High School, helped lead the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to a 77-73 win over the UC Davis Aggies on Thursday, Feb. 26.
The 6-foot-8 junior forward recorded 13 points, four rebounds and three steals in his 35 minutes on the court.
Finlinson and Hawaii are set to face Cal State Fullerton Titans next, with tipoff on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. on the road.
These ex-South Utah area high school standouts will participate in competitions on Sunday, April 19.
Utah Tech opened its final WAC road slate by defeating Utah Valley 7-4 on Friday afternoon. Key performances included strong pitching from Tyler Ray and multi-hit games from several Trailblazers hitters.
The Southern Utah Thunderbirds won both games of their Friday doubleheader against Abilene Christian Wildcats. Key performances came from freshmen McKenzy Becerra and Savannah Lira as well as strong pitching efforts by Delaney Baker and Avery Nielson.
